WHY WE UNITED ?
In the year 1999 (23 years ago) although Lohana community Trusts / Mahajans have been incoporated in multiple locations, most of them were operating their trusts independently within their locality, with minimal communication with nearby mahajans, there had been a communication gap between Lohana families for Health, Education, Social activites, mainly for availing matrimonial references within Lohana Community. So intially Mahajan Trusts of Navi Mumbai, Thane, Dombivali, Kalyan planned to join their hands & decided to form a single platform with common Goals & Vision…
WHO WE ARE ?
“SHREE LOHANA SAMAJ TRUST KONKAN VIBHAG” , Word “SHREE LOHANA” defines name of Community, TRUST Derives Type of Registered Entity & Word “KONKAN VIBHAG” defines Geogrophical Territory of Konkan Belt viz. Thane , Raigad & Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra in India. The Lohana’s dominated Mahajan/ Trust within Konkan belt fells under umbrella of Shree Lohana Samaj Sangathan Trust Vibhag, The Trustees of Konkan Vibhag are the Nominated Representatives / Trustees of Local Mahajans established within different locations of Konkan Vibhag, “SLSTKV” is a symbol of unity of 23 Mahajans / Trusts of Lohana Community within Konkan Vibhag, Here each of Mahajans of sangathan help each others…
WHAT WE DO ?
Long ago the Core Activity of Trust was to unite lohana families in a group residing nearby same locality, take a meet and invite them to incorporate their own Mahajans/Trusts in their locality – if there is NO such of Mahajans / Community Trust active in that locality (vibhag). Shree Lohana Samaj Trust Konkan vibhag had helped many locations say Ulhasnagar-Ambernath-Badlapur, Uran or Alibaug (Proposed), for the formation of independent Mahajans/Trust in their Locality.
